Reading & Conversation with Irish poet Gabriel Rosenstock

The Poetry Club, Mumbai & G5A Foundation for Contemporary Culture brings two Haiku poets from two different continents to read and talk about this beautiful form of poetry. 

This Saturday, don't miss Irish poet Gabriel Rosenstock and Indian poet Rochelle Potkar, in conversation.

Our guest poets for the evening also include local poets Scherezade SiobhanRaamesh Gowri Raghavan & Yash Pandit, who would be sharing some of their poems with us!

The evening will close with a Q&A session open to the audience.

About Gabriel:
Poet, tankaist, haikuist, novelist, essayist, playwright, short story writer, author/translator of over 180 books, mostly in Irish (Gaelic), Gabriel is the member of Aosdána (Irish Academy of arts & letters), former Chairman Poetry Ireland/Éigse Éireann. He taught haiku at the Schule für Dichtung (Poetry Academy), Vienna, and Hyderabad Literary Festival. He's also a prolific translator/ transcreator into Irish of international poetry (among many others Ko Un, Seamus Heaney, K. Satchidanandan, Rabindranath Tagore, Muhammad Iqbal, Hilde Domin, Peter Huchel etc.), plays (Beckett, Frisch, Yeats), and songs (Bob Dylan, Kate Bush, The Pogues, Leonard Cohen, Bob Marley etc)
